Abstract

Parkinson's disease is the second most basic neurodegenerative disease, influencing 1% of the populations. but the diagnosis and management is quiet difficult. PD considering many motor and non-motor disorders. The medical management is hard because the choices of drugs are limited, and levodopa is the mainstay of treatment. Patients receiving long-term therapy of levodopa must contend with some adverse effects seen in Parkinson's disease patients treated with levodopa. This side effect is usually encountered after a long duration of treatment, but occasionally, this may be seen even after a few days or months of treatment. Different types of surgical approaches, including unilateral pallidotomy, Subthalamotomy and deep brain stimulation, have given particularly good results in PD patients, medical and surgical approaches some time give a better result compare than mono therapy.
