Abstract

Internal fixation of Posterior Cruciate avulsion fracture is the accepted standard of care. The posterior approach is usually preferred for open reduction. A simple modification of this posterior exposure involving recession of the medial gastrocnemius muscle not only improves the exposure in such cases, but may also be found useful in larger fractures of the posterior aspect of medial tibial plateau.
