Abstract

The most common sequela of wearing removable dentures is denture stomatitis. This review article uses a Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) format to collect data regarding articles that report on the treatment of denture stomatitis using tissue conditioners modified with antifungal drugs, inorganic compound, and phytomedicines. Their advantages, disadvantages, and mechanism of action are discussed. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
