Hypothyroidism is an endocrine disease that is caused by the depletion of thyroid hormones in our bodies. There is a high prevalence of hypothyroidism worldwide and in India too. There is a strong link between hypothyroidism and a number of other medical disorders, including diabetes. It has been shown that hypothyroidism is connected with high mortality and impaired quality of life, particularly if there are comorbidities.
