Abstract

Aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Aporosa lindleyana (100 mg/kg) evaluated for hypoglycemic effect in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Blood glucose reduced in normal rats (80.4 → 69.8 mg%; 82.6 → 70.8 mg%) and diabetic rats (306 → 160 mg%; 328 → 152 mg%) within 3 h.
