Abstract

Case report: Beta-hemolytic Enterococcus faecalis isolated from pericardial fluid in a patient with pyopericardium. Patient immunocompetent with mild pleural effusion; treated with co-amoxiclav and amikacin, underwent pericardiectomy, fully recovered.
