Abstract

Hepatoprotective activity of Thespesia lampas root extracts evaluated in rats with chronic liver damage induced by CCl4. Biochemical parameters (SGPT, SGOT, ALP, bilirubin, total protein) assessed. Hepatic steatosis, centrilobular necrosis, and cytoplasmic swelling were absent in T. lampas treated groups (300 mg/kg). Supports folkloric claims of hepatoprotective effects. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
