Abstract

Study on enzymatic activity and distribution of phospholipase C (PLC) gene among Candida isolates from pulmonary tuberculosis and non-tuberculosis patients. High levels of proteinase, caseinase, lipase, and phospholipase observed, especially in C. glabrata from TB patients. PLC gene sequenced (NCBI Accession No: EU814636). Extracellular virulence may contribute to Candida pathogenicity in pulmonary TB. © 2008 Elsevier Masson SAS. © 2009 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
