Abstract

Microwave-assisted wet chemical synthesis of ZnO nanostructures for CO gas sensing. ZnO converted from zinc hydroxide to single-phase crystalline structures (spherical, flower, star-like). Flower-like morphology showed high sensitivity; surface resistance measured under varying temperature and CO concentrations. Nanostructure influences sensing properties. © 2009 Elsevier B.V.; © 2010 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
