Abstract
Antihyperlipidemic effect of alcoholic leaf extract of Solanum surattense studied in STZ-induced diabetic rats. Treatment (100 mg/kg b.w. for 45 days) normalized elevated blood glucose, insulin, plasma lipids (TC, TG, PL, FFA), and fatty acid composition. Effects attributed to alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides, triterpenoids, and sterols. Supports scientific rationale for anti-diabetic use. © 2018 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
