Abstract

Implementation of Tuple Pruning Search (TPS) packet classification algorithm on Network Processor-based router for multimedia applications. Performance evaluated using Intel IXP2400 NP Simulator. TPS shows better classification rate and lower memory occupancy than Tuple Space Search. Parallel mapping outperforms Pipelined mapping for high-speed classification. © 2012 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
