Abstract

This article reports synthesis of tungsten oxide (WO3) nanoparticles doped with 3 wt% and 10 wt% manganese using microwave irradiation. Characterization included XRD, FTIR, TEM, UV-DRS, SEM-EDAX, and photoluminescence. Crystal structure was monoclinic. Particle size ranged from 35 to 40 nm. Morphology changed with Mn doping. Bandgap energy and defect levels discussed.
