Abstract
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) applications include animal, vehicle, machine, and medical monitoring. A novel approach to handle the Hot Spot Problem was proposed with improved connectivity and network lifetime using a smart environment with sensor areas, nodes, base stations, and enemy nodes. © 2010 IEEE. © 2011 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
