Abstract

Aim: To determine the reversal effect of 10% sodium ascorbate on the bond strength of previously bleached teeth with hydrogen peroxide. Materials and Methods: Sixty extracted maxillary premolars were divided into three groups: A (etched and bonded), B (bleached, etched, immediately bonded), and C (bleached, treated with 10% sodium ascorbate, etched and bonded). Bond strength tested using Instron universal testing machine. Results: Group A: 12.24 MPa, Group C: 11.62 MPa, Group B: 10.96 MPa. Conclusion: Treatment with 10% sodium ascorbate following bleaching improved bond strength compared to immediate bonding post-bleaching, though not statistically significant. © 2014 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
