Abstract

Hyperplasias of the mandible are usually associated with condylar enlargement or hemimandibular involvement. This report presents a rare case of hyperplasia affecting the right body of the mandible, present since childhood but without functional or occlusal disturbances. Clinical, radiographic and histopathologic findings confirmed the diagnosis, and treatment was aimed at esthetic correction. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
