Abstract
A histopathological study of 613 cervical specimens from 2010–2012 showed chronic nonspecific cervicitis as the most common diagnosis (89.23%). Other lesions included follicular cervicitis (6.85%), cervicitis with koilocytosis (3.75%) and one case of tuberculosis. Accurate identification of benign cervical lesions is important due to their potential progression or overlap with malignancy.
