Abstract

Sensorineural deafness is a bilateral, progressive hearing loss of gradual onset, predominantly affecting higher frequencies and older patients. Hypertension, a common vascular disorder, may induce structural changes in the heart and blood vessels. Increased vascular pressure can cause inner ear hemorrhage, leading to progressive or sudden hearing loss. © 2022 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
