Due to the advancement of camera devices, huge amounts of digital video data are generated, requiring extensive time for users to analyze and browse. This paper presents a summarization technique for edited videos using GLCM representation. Keyframes are extracted based on texture features such as Energy, Homogeneity, Mean, and Contrast, using predefined threshold values. The proposed model captures the important properties of each frame and was evaluated using benchmark datasets TVsum50 and SumMe. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed summarization approach compared to existing algorithms. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
