Abstract

This study synthesized ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) via chemical precipitation and green methods using Vinca rosea leaf extract. Characterization (UV–Vis, PL, FTIR, XRD, HR-TEM, SEM) confirmed hexagonal ZnO NPs (16–41 nm). Green-synthesized ZnO NPs exhibited superior antimicrobial, anti-diabetic, and anticancer activity (MCF-7 cell line) compared to chemically synthesized NPs, with high α-amylase inhibition (84.37%) and cytotoxicity (81.75 µg/mL), demonstrating the efficacy of eco-friendly synthesis.
